What is a Loft?
Typically, a loft was an old warehouse building that had been converted into an open-style living space. However, in Las Vegas developers have very few older buildings to convert, so many are building loft type projects from scratch. A loft typically has a high ceiling, cement floors, lots of windows, open space with different living areas divided only by furniture, and very few walls inside the living space. Newer projects have added walls to define spaces and modern amenities in the kitchen and bath. The great thing about the loft is that the owner is able to decide how to use the space to suite their lifestyle and taste and has the freedom to change it as their life changes.
There are several loft projects in Las Vegas. Some are highrise loft projects with guarded entrances such as Metropolis located right off the Strip with views of the Wynn golf course and Soho Lofts located downtown in the revitalization area.
