Next, when you get pre-approved for a loan, even though the monthly payment may be where you need it, the terms of the loan are just as important. Be aware of the interest rate and the type of loan you are getting. Ensure that the loan program is going to be benficial to you. For example, if you have an interest only loan for five years, make sure that after the five years, you will be able to either refinance, or that you can afford the principal and interest payment.
The most important thing to remember when shopping for home loans is comfort. Make sure you're comfortable with your loan representative. When you're working with someone you can trust, the entire process goes more smoothly. Also, make sure you are comfortable with the loan payment and terms.
