1. Aggressively price your home. Do the homework. Look at other homes in your neighborhood that are currently listed, or have sold in the past several months. Consider how long hey have been on the market, and what upgrades they have. If you list your home at or below the lowest priced home, you typically have a better chance of selling more quickly than a home priced higher than others in the area. Buyers are looking for a deal.
2. Make your home stand apart from the rest. If your home has a pool, or new appliances and carpet, make sure to include this information in the headlines of ny advertisements. These upgrades can mean less time and money for prospective buyers...which could lead to increased interest in your home.
3. Remove Clutter. Make sure any unneccessary items are neatly put away, to minimize the appearance of clutter.
4. Add to your home's curb appeal. If your yard is looking a bit plain, planting some colorful flowers in the front planter area will help brighten up the yard a bit.
5. Be realistic with your expectations. If you price your home correctly (close to other homes in the neighborhood) from the start, you may be able to avoid lengthy listing times. If your home is not priced competitively to start, you may be disappointed if your home doesn't sell within your expected time frame.
